EN9 Steel is also known as 070M55, available in diameters, squares, flats, and plates with a carbon content 0.50/0.60 this is a medium carbon steel which can develop a tensile strength of 700N/mm 45tsi. In the normalised condition EN9 can be used for gears, sprockets and cams.
